Go Fishing

I was in my car thinking what was I gonna write….Then it hit me…..There is a passage in the book of Matthew the 17^th Chapter…It reads…..

24. And when they were come to Capernaum, they that received tribute [money] came to Peter, and said, Doth not your master pay tribute? 25.He saith, Yes. And when he was come into the house, Jesus prevented him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of strangers? 26. Peter saith unto him, Of strangers. Jesus saith unto him, Then are the children free. 27. Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee.

Understand this……You may have encountered a need in your life; You may feel like your desires are incomplete; you may have looked at your accounts in life (literal and figuratively) an witnessed the insufficient funds for you to do that which you desire, that which you believe God for, or that which you are called to execute in this season of your life…………

BUT….I want you to hear the word of the LORD say to you….Go fish!!!……

See, Peter had a need. So that the meeting of this need would just prove to others that the move of God was with him, the LORD was faithful in putting that need in a place where He knew that Peter would get it…….

By trade Peter was a fisherman and he knew how to get the fish in the net and prepared for sale……This time there was an additional blessing in the fish’s mouth….. I challenge you to go fish….You may not be a fisherman, but there issomething that you know how to do in order to meet the needs for you and your family….

God permitted the need in your life to provoke you to function in what He has gifted you to do in this season of your life……It may be singing, it may be administration, it may be encouraging other people, it may be cleaning. Whatever the gift, whatever the ability, see the challenge of God to Get you to use that gift to meet the need….

When you do this, those who witness it will see that God will supply and meet the needs of His people……God loves you, has called you, and given you His name…..Therefore, it is His desire that you prosper and be in health as your soul prospers [A friend of mine wrote a book about it], It is His desire that you Get the good thing of God and allow the gift of God in you to flourish…..It is His desire that you go fish!!!!!!

So, when you go fish, men will see your Good works they will glorify the Father……

My prayer is that you see that which God has given you in gifts, talents, and abilities. I pray that you use them to bring in the harvest that will meet your needs……My prayer is that you again are overtaken by His blessing as you function in Hiscall and in His Name……Oh say Yes!!!!!

Remember, the Higher You Go, the Lighter you are, and the less pull that gravity has upon you. Go Higher in Him.
